Here is another photo from the bull fights of the 29th. I forgot to provide this link in case anyone wants to read a bit more about them. Obviously in Spanish there is a lot more information available, but this is the English version. Also, as a point of interest - all of the matadors come from Spain - they are not locals.

I don't like that "sport," Usually they kill the bull afterward.

The colours, the framing and the action are fantastic. We have lots of bullfights in the south of France too: it's our common culture with Spain.

Thanks for the great shots. I would have enjoyed the bull fights, but we were there at the wrong time of the year I guess. Anyway, Great shots. I'm enjoying them, and will look often for maybe some things that we did see. Thanks again!

Thanks for the interest everyone! I was glad to have some shots of this festival to post. I know that not all are fans of the bullfights (for reasons like Susan said) but since this is about Quito and its culture, I thought it important to include.
