Leapin' Lizards!

Here is one of my favorite shots from the Iguana Park in Guayaquil. These guys were incredibly people friendly, camera ready and came charging right over to say hello...especially to our little group since one of our friends had brought a lettuce picnic to share with the masses! If you want to get a little closer (he is smiling afterall...), remember to click the photo to enlarge it! More iguanas tomorrow. :)

i always think iguana has a weird smile :)
some people here take iguana as a pet, probably the animal imported from your country.

These animals are wonderfully entertaining! Have met them in Mexico, and they certainly are people-friendly. Good shot!

Maybe that is where my missing local iguanas landed!(See FortLauderdaleDailyPhoto.com post "Where Have They Gone?")

How fun to have them so tame that they come up to you.

When I enlarged the photo I was amazed at the feet. They look like chicken feet and so many folds of skin. A wonderfully weird creature and a great shot. Looking forward to more.
