Catch of the day

Perhaps it's because I grew up in the land of cows, corn and casseroles, but I do NOT like fish. However, after our recent beach vacation I now understand that it's because I haven't had fresh out of the ocean, prepared spectacularly on the spot fish by people who know their fish! A little over a week ago now we sat in plastic beach chairs at a plastic table in the sand and ate at this little dive right on the ocean front and were absolutely delighted with the catch of the day, which we believe was orange roughy but it may have been lost in the translation. WOW it was GREAT - five stars for sure!!! This is the head chef, who we paid our compliments to afterwards and asked for his photo. He told us to come again, and I do believe we will. mm mmm

Looks like he prepared the fish with love which is a key ingredient for great tasting food! The colors in your photo are outstanding!

A lovely photograph for today. I really like your work.

My Theme Day portrait is of the "Peashooter" and the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Hope you like flying.

You're right, Lis. There's nothing as delicious as "fresh out of the ocean" fish. Hopefully, we'll get to sit in one of those plastic chairs by the plastic table with your family one of these days. MOM

It must have been quite a preparation! Sounds great! Thanks for coming by Villigen. I'll be back later.

Really pretty pic. Nice and colorful, it makes you want to step up and order some fish!

Nothing beats fresh-just-caught fish...except Ben & Jerry's, of course ;-)

Fish is incredible, but the chef and preparation make it! Happy you got to experience it the right way!
