My camera is back! But I'm still in the house, so I'm sharing my lovely $1.19 a dozen red roses with you today. :) Remember I told you about roses in Ecuador? If not, click here.

One Dozen Red Roses $89.99 in the US if bought online and more than that if bought locally at a flower shop. So your prices are very inexpensive.

A beautiful photo with lovely shades of red. The green peeking through makes it interesting! I am aware of the many problems with flowers and have a hard time buying unless they come from our local growers in summer farmers' market. But that leaves the rest of the year pretty barren of flowers in MN. And, I was once a person who would spend her last nickle on flowers. It's always sad and enraging when poor people are exploited, and humans never seem to change!!

Wow! for that price you could have a fresh dozen every day!

I remember when we were there a year ago, the hugh bouquet of flowers that we bought. It was just a pittance in cost, but so beautiful. That is one of the beautiful parts of Quito.

Nice roses. I agree with chris & déb and abraham lincoln, these flowers are very unexpensive! Here in France I must confess that I don't buy roses very often 'cause they are really far from being cheap!

I read your earlier commentary about the economic conditions there...so sad! I like the way you shot the roses!

My wife runs a flower shop and pays two dollar for ONE rose. Your people makes nothing growing them. Who the heck makes the money?
The suppliers I guess...
