Mangos, anyone?

I see this woman every week on my way to the grocery store, and her prices and produce always vary. Acutally, I shouldn't say the price varies, just the quantity, depending what's in season. Everything purchased produce wise on the street is a dollar...90 limes, 20 oranges, a bag of those delicious little potatoes she has on the left, a pint of strawberries, you name it, it's a dollar! This works well as there's no time for bargaining when you're sitting in your car waiting for the light to turn green. The sun is VERY intense here, and so you often see women with some piece of clothing or a blanket folded up and balancing on their head.

We grew accustomed to seeing this all the time in Los Angeles, but we don't see anything like this in Minneapolis. Thanks for sharing this every-day slice of life!

I love these unposed candid shots. Good explanation, also.

20 mangos for $1 -- that's a great deal!

That's a real bargain and it's given me a craving for fresh mangoes.

Thanks for a view of life over there.

No wonder my Maui friends who moved to Ecuador love it so much! One lemon will cost you a dollar on Maui.
