This is nearly the same picture that I have with my profile, but I have cropped this one a bit less and now will provide some information about it. If you click to enlarge, you will see that the base part of the picture is actually the City of Quito - with flea sized buildings. ;) This is beautiful Cotopaxi mountain and we can see this from our dining room window everyday (if the sun is shining), but is a different range of mountain from what I have shown in the past. This shot was taken from the top of the Ruccu Pichincha mountain, to which we traveled 9,843 feet via a cable car called the Teleférico. Once at the top, the views are breathtaking.

Wow... it's so spectacular!! Everything seems so tiny close to that wonderful mountain Cotopaxi which is already a volcano.. Aren't you afraid to live next to a volcano? Or it's no longer on activity?

I'd love to take that ride on Teleferico - but how is the air on the mountain?
Madrid - I guess we think of it as any other natural disaster that could occur...earthquake, tornado, flood, hurricane, etc. We don't really think about it though we know it's possible that it could pop. ;)
Isabella - not sure what you're asking about the air - it's thinner! and as far as pollution, the worst of that is down in the actual city (which is actually quite bad in some places).
